Drawing or an amount of randomly aligned lines

Thu May 7, 2009, 10:37 AM
Edit 07.05.2009:
Somehow I feel like I really want to draw, so I decided to practise my drawing skills. The subject I would draw and shade is [link] from the wonderful :iconcheru-cheru:.
She has a great style and its the perfect subject to draw and shade with pencil.

Edit 05.03.2009:
Ah, crap...I started with the shading of Minnas AsunaXchamo pic. After I finished half of Asunas hair, I noticed that her hair should be orange and not blonde -_- Have do redo the whole hair, since OC 1 has no function for changing hue. But don't expect too much, for this is my first real coloring and I think it looks kinda bad until now, but I will try my best.

OMG, I am 21 now. So fast ^^

HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND A GREAT NEW YEAR

Edit 12.12.08:
Yay, update ^^

Well, it's been quite a while since I've decided to draw. The years passed and now I am 20 and the addiction called drawing comes back and surrounds me.
Okay, I have the same problems as in the past; how to draw characters by heart or draw own ones as to say. Yeah, by now I am using references or I redraw existing material just to get a feeling of the line management.
But what's the next step? Redrawing and making own creatings is something very different, especially when you've got so much to make for university.

Edit: YAY, drawing is fun, however, using the path-tool is not. Future drawings will be with tablet. Bwah, drawing hair is difficult, need to practise

Edit 24.11.08:
I just spend the last bit of my leisure time in doodling around with OC and I noticed that I have definatelly no idea which techniques to use for coloring and drawing. I found a few tuts for OC, explaining how to draw this and how to draw that, but I never found some tutorials where I can say "Ah, thats how it goes". So if you know some, feel free to post them.
Also, I regret that I must again delay the shaded version of Minna's Asuna x Chamo pic. Every time I try to draw shadows, I use the wrong technique or the wront brush and overlay method.
I dont know, is the normal brush and overlay the right one for drawing shadows? I use a seperate layer for it. I don't think that this is going to end up well. So if someone has some advices... you're welcome.

Edit 1.11.08:
The weather is shitty as always and to my disgrace I absolutely do not know what to draw when I have time to. It is like a inner uneasiness. Well, probably I will try to draw Mao or something else. Sorry, but the shaded coloring of the AsunaXChamo pic is cancelled for the time being. I noticed that it is really hard and I need more practice for that. So I will keep it in mind to finish it someday.
Also, I think I will draw my other deviations with a pencil, the tablet feels a bit uncomfortable while drawing. The surface is kinda too smooth and the pencil needs to much pressure to draw even if I change the options concerning the pen pressure. I have drawn with a wacom from a friend and this tablet was much better. But you cannot expect that much from an A4 tablet about 50$.
